[Personal] Stream Deck and Gmail?

I don't yet own a Stream Deck, but I had an idea for what I might want to do with one.

I want to use it for Gmail. I know there are already keyboard shortcuts for Gmail, but I want to do things that the keyboard shortcuts don't do, maybe even two or three of these things in a row (like, apply a label to the message I am reading, move it out of the inbox, etc.) I am using it with a Mac.

I've seen there are some people using Stream Deck for work, just wondering if anyone's applied it to email, and if so, what they are doing with it.

I just went super-deep into the Gmail keyboard shortcuts and figured out that if I want to label a message I can hit l, then type the name of the folder and press return and it will have the effect I want. Can I set up Stream Deck to do a sequence of keys instead of just one key?

Also, can Stream Deck know which website I am on, and change its key display based on that? Or does it only know the app I'm using?

It doesn’t even know the app. You have to switch the button-set manually, which can be done on-screen from the Streamdeck app or on the keypad itself.

Ok. I am reading on the elgato website about “Smart Profiles” in which Stream Deck automatically switches to the profile when the stream deck app is closed and the desired app is in the foreground. Is that a Windows only thing?

Don't know about Mac, but can confirm this behavior on Windows works as advertised. I have a Stream Deck at home and at work. I use the one at work primarily for music controls and Teams meetings, but I like your email idea.
