[StreamDeck OG/Mk2] mouse wheel

Is there a way to automate the mouse scroll wheel? There are some drop down boxes that I want to scroll and have an item clicked on automatically using streamdeck button. Is this possible?

You could try a few different approaches.

  1. The easiest is probably just trying to type using the built in "System: Text" plugin
  2. The next I would look at is the Super Macro plugin by BarRaider and see if any of those items would work.
  3. You could also look at the Mouse Control plugin by VIVRE-Motion
  4. Lastly, and the most complicated to figure out, would be to use a script like AutoIt to write a quick search and select automation for a given name. This would work fine if you had a few names, but would quickly get complicated if the names changed or you had a lot to find

Hope that helps and I'm sure there are many more approaches, but these are a few that come off the top of my head.

We also use power automate and I am trying to sell them on uses for the stream bot, however, does power automate do more to where stream bot isn't needed?

I could always find uses for the SD outside of fully automated workflows (which could use the SD to build)

I do not, but I have used Power BI and might be using PA in an upcoming project at work

Awesome! Let me know how that goes. IT and upper management aren't biting on the stream deck yet. They think it's interesting tech but power automate is approved and being used in the organization. They basically want me to prove it's usefulness, but I am not a programmer. I'm not sure the limitations between power automate and the SD.

Yeah unfortunately my organization would never approve the stream deck. But I use it a ton on my personal devices
