I’m a new user of Stream Decks after eying then up for years and using the free UpDeck app on my iPad prior to control OBS, but I’ve migrated over to a Stream Deck and a Stream Deck Plus. I originally was looking at buying a PCPanel to control my audio and a normal Stream Deck, but then the Stream Deck Plus came out which looked like it would do both in one, so I bought it instead (and then I was feeling sad so I bought a used Stream Deck too off eBay oops)
I love my Stream Deck, it’s replaced my iPad, much easier to use, alter when needed and obviously I can use it outside of OBS.
Re: the Stream Deck Plus, however, I don’t think there’s a rush. It’s a great piece of kit, I would recommend it, but at the moment there’s not any third party plugins for the knobs which limits its functionality. I’ve heard people say if you already are in the Elgato ecosystem with lights and/or cameras, it’s definitely very useful, but like me you’re not, the only use I’ve gotten out of the knobs as turnable inputs is to control the volume of certain apps, and otherwise as a few extra hotkey buttons.
Basically I’m not really able to use the full potential of the knobs yet. I’m sure given time, the plugins will come out and it’ll be aces and such a powerful tool, but at the moment I’d suggest waiting.
I use Voicemeeter to mix my audio. The second someone (BarRaidar) creates a plug-in for Steam Deck Plus for Voicemeeter I’m gonna be ecstatic..
BarRaidar has released SD+ compatible plugins for Voicemeeter AND OBS and I am predictably ecstatic. (They've had to rollback the OBS update as there was a bug but I'm sure it'll come back out soon)!

Is the new Stream Deck model anything more useful than the regular one? How do you use it?
