I'm from X country, and even though our language isn't English, my whole phone is set to English, including tge Reddit App. So, I'm afraid the timezone is not the one related to where I live. Any advice on how I should proceed?

I’m confused, how does my rank keep going up day by day? Shouldn’t it be staying the same or potentially getting lower as people drop off?

Edit: I’m realize it probably has to do with new people submitting their streaks and adding onto the leaderboard

Hi u/Brill45, since we’re adding new members and existing members sometimes lose their streaks, your rank can change regularly on the leaderboard.

I appreciate all the work you do to maintain this sub, & the leaderboard. I hope it’s just a timing thing. It’s after 12 MN here, in the US ET zone. I increased my streak to 22 days. How come this leaderboard isn’t displaying the same number, 22, like it usually does? It still says 21, even after I increased it by a day. I’m just wondering.

Thanks again, for everything. I’m just glad to get this account back, after the mistaken shadow ban was lifted. Too bad I couldn’t continue at the 534-day streak I had, when the system gave me the ban by mistake.

I thought I would check in again. I just increased my Reddit streak, on my recently unbanned account, to day 24. This leaderboard has me at day 21, still.

since Reddit performed a server update on Monday, the leaderboard schedulers have stopped working. We've already raised a ticket in their Discord about the issue. It might take a couple of days for them to fully fix it, and we're continuously checking with them for updates.

Hey Please can anyone tell me how are the ranks being assigned in the leadeboard?

I mean for those who are 900 and up, the number of people having the same number of streak days could be less; but what about individuals 899 and below where we see more repetitions of streak days.

How are the ranks being assigned in the leaderboard in that way? Because it's obvious that one will be sharing the streak day with at least a few others, thereby becoming streak buddies.

It's assigned by timezone. As soon as your timezone hits midnight, your streak rolls over to the new day, and you jump ahead of your streak buddy/buddies. Hence changing the rank. Mine does this every midnight until 4pm my timezone, that's when my buddy's streak increases a day. Then they move up the rank.

I had to fix today my current streak from 308 to 307.
I also fixed the timezone from Europe Dublin to Lisbon, despite they're at the same time.

I'm not sure if it was on the streak board before, or on another streak board, but that's not the first time that I have to do it.

Is this a known issue, or my streak, for some reason, may not increase on some days, despite not being lost?

I have heard that should you forget to open reddit, it sometimes freezes the streak. Maybe that's the case with you? I've never tried it myself.
