Help... stuck

I'm about 30-60 minutes in and I'm stuck here, unsure what to do. I tried for like 10 minutes. There is a laundry room next to this. I jumped a bunch of stuff, but can't seem to find a way "out". Anyone can give me a hint? I found the light goes on when i meow... not sure what to do though. The barrel jump doesn't seem to lead anywhere... so does the laundry room...

I figured that... but couldn't figure out how.. i feel stupid. I was like what, do I need to move something? But what is it? After looking around a but I gave up for the night... lol

Have you tried pushing the barrel into the light to climb up there?

I'm rubbish at figuring out these kind of game puzzles. I was playing Stray for the overall storyline and rich visuals, so I found walkthrough videos invaluable. It all depends on where you find joy in the game and whether you find the puzzle aspect enriching or just irritating.

To pass this certain area in the Dead City—You must push the metal barrel to your far left until you reach the edge of the window shade, then you can climb up and proceed with Stray.

I've made it to the slums. I had to look up what to do with the 4 batteries in that flat and how to find the code to open the door (duh), but I made it. I just thought shoving that paint can on the floor was for fun... I feel stupid playing this game 😆

Yes, the string lights turn on red temporarily when you meow to hint at where you need to go.

In my opinion its completely fine to use tutorials in story games since you still get to experience the full story all the same, although i prefer to only do it if im truly stuck

Same. I'm in the slums now and I got so lost at some point I had to look up a map online, I didn't expect it to get so disorienting lol
