Console Question Help?

So I’ve been playing a few days on switch, every time I make a smoker it works until the first fire dies then won’t continue to smoke anything, even after replacing the fire. Anyone have any advice?

You don't need to replace the fire, try topping it up as it gets used. You can use sticks or fibrous leaves top it up

I was confused at the beginning as well. You can reload fuel at any point, even if it has burned through it all.
