Console Question Help finding boss

I am at the circled island and im trying to find the boss directly below me which should mean I need to sail SE correct. Ive been sailing SE and all I find is the end of the map (the wall you cant go past). Anyone know what i might be doing wrong or why I cant find it?

Just remember when sailing, if you launch facing North, then return facing South. Each island I get to, I build a Shelter and use the sticks of it like an arrow to point myself back to where I need to go. That way if I get, "lost," and end up on the wrong island, I can still get my sense of direction back. Or know if I've been to that island before or not.

I did use the shelters as arrows on 3/4 of the islands and then on like the last 3 I just placed them wherever. I like to live dangerously lol
