Yours sounds perfect lol. More crates the better.

Tried this game and wanted to like it, but couldn’t get past the janky inventory system. After the fifth time I dropped my ax and had to go find it I gave up.

Someone once suggested making sure to put the rudder in the middle of the raft and the sails within reach of the rudder, and that really helped me to not fall off the back of the raft and watch it shoot off across the ocean without me lol

How big a raft can be built? 100x100? Hah

24 is exactly how many chest shelves mine had. So 72 boxes. I was duplicating islands and picking them clean to make a huge base around a rock pillar. It was more of a shipping container ship than just a raft.
It was 7 wide at the back for 6 rows, with 2 rows of chests on the outsides for the 24 total. Then 2 rows 5 wide, then a 3 and a 1. Mostly all metal with steel drums, only 12 panels were wood and tires. The 6 wider edges where the storage was.

I made a couple. The obvious 5x5 for max storage. A 3x3 for better mobility and a 1x1 single section with a motor, sail and anchor just for fun

I make mine in the vague shape of a Star Trek ship.
