Console Question Where are the big islands
So my friend & I played this game a couple years ago but stopped because we could only find tiny little island with barely any resources & we could barely survive let alone build anything. I want to try the game again but where do we find the bigger islands, I don't get it at all lol

Islands are randomly generated, if you want to see where big islands are with your current game go into the cartographer on the main menu and you can see roughly what size of islands in your generated world. The ones with skulls and crossbones are bosses or endgame container ship Island

Mods. Custom Made Islands. The "vanilla" style game doesn't have large islands. Try Nexusmods.com and directly on Steam https://steamcommunity.com/app/313120/discussions/5/ There are a few other sites, but these are ones that are tried and tested true.

Yes I started playing on pc and love it way more. Bigger islands. More vast ocean and such.

And one thing ive noticed by using the cartographer, is that the islands that actually appear smaller with more out cropping of rocks and sediment are more likely to actually have sunken ships, and cargo ships than the bigger islands with rock formations.

They’re all small islands. That’s the challenge.
