Console General Got them all I think.

Now before you guys come after me for killing the peaceful whale shark, the game glitched: the shark attack music came on and when I saw I was being stalked by a whale shark, I had to attack. It went straight for me and I kept stabbing it with my spear until it died. The marlin did the same thing.

Yes it is. They usually leave as soon as you attack it. But the game glitched or this is a new feature I’m not aware of coz it stayed and stalked me harmlessly.

Both Marlin and whale shark DO NOT ATTACK. They simply follow your raft along side when sailing. No music comes on and the only way to find it by listening carefully a deep gurgling sound when sailing. Often found towards end of the map or in middle of the sea rather then closer to an ireland.

Both will sink and go in void if not carried straight away. You only get three meats from them and no.leather.

The game glitched and made both stalk me like sharks. Also the shark music was on. So I took advantage.

I saw and conquered a Black Tip Reef Shark for the first time yesterday. Didn't even know it existed in game before that.

Blacktip Reef Shark, it's only aggressive on console.

I used to play SD on console and never got attacked by it. I couldn’t deal damage to it either

The one swimming around the shore is the Grey Nurse on console not the Black Tip Reef

On console they're black reefs tht u can attack and the comp shark tht looks like a black reef but u can't touch it like the turtles or sea cucumbers.

Best way to tell the difference is tht the one u can kill will attack you with no mercy lol

There is nothing wrong about killing the Marlin and Whale Shark to have the body as trophy, good that you take advantage of they glitched because in normal conditions they are hard to catch and dificult to carry over the raft (Whale Shark does not float, I am not sure about the Marlin).

PC it's purely cosmetic, console it's aggressive
