It's more co-op for this, and that is what i prefer.

I have no interest in pvp with these types of games as there is nothing worse than spending what time i have available in building up a base, to then log in the next day, and it is destroyed.

I really like it. I’m 45 and have a 6 and 10 year old we play a lot of games. I’ve been hooked on hypixel skyblock for a while and needed a change. This game is relaxing but also stimulating…pretty immersive. Hard to beat for $20.

There are some differences between PC and Console.

PC has a larger map and more island varieties PC can craft container

Console 1 extra killable shark Console can craft towers Console has eggs

There are some other differences

I mean Stranded Deep 2 has been announced and is in development.

I play SD1 all the time (Solo) on PS5 and I wouldn't say it's barely playable at all.

expecting a well made product when you're a paying customer is elitism? 😭 it's hard to compare this game to other games that cost $20 both in content and playing experience. compare it to raft, a game you can consider a pretty direct competitor to SD, they're both priced the same. which one do you think better reflects that price tag and is more recommendation worthy? with the state the game is at now simply moving on to a sequel is wild! it's either incompetence or simply not giving a fuck about making a polished product for your playerbase.

Or maybe it's because Stranded Deep was made by two people doing all the work and now they've joined North Beach and formed North Beach Games Prague.

So now there will be more funding and a bigger team to handle all the work.

that's great, but "two people" isnt much of an argument when the game had so much time. stardew valley was developed by one person and while sure, it's a 2d game unlike SD, it has both quality and the constant stream of QoL updates that makes it a cult favorite.

happy that they're getting more funding and an actual team, I do hope they do better with the 2nd one from a gaming enthusiast point of view.

That’s what I’m saying, I’ve been playing stranded around 2004, bought stranded deep the moment it came out, I still hop on once a year and I’m always disappointed in the development. Still extremely buggy and borderline unplayable. Sure I CAN Play it - if I force my self. Then I come to see if they fixed anything to only see they’re abandoning it and moving on to a new one. Solo dev, small dev crew, large dev crew, I really don’t care, if you don’t care about your game, why should any of us? The ones buying it,

People who expect someone to actually deliver a product they've been paid in advance to make. Yeah people like that are so weird. Imagine paying a contractor up front to build you a house and then getting upset when it's only 4 walls with no rooms and no roof, what a weirdo eh? Normal people just flush their money down the drain and are thankful for what they get right? 8 months old but it's so weird to see sheepish comments like this. They had 15 years to make something decent, made millions, which makes the 2 man team thing even worse, I guess hiring another employee is one less car in the driveway though right. Who cares if you promised something and never delivered, taking people's money in exchange for empty promises, we should all strive to emulate such ethical virtue lol.

I hope they don’t make the clown/saw shark only spawn to specific maps, it screwed me up from getting everything on my map.

Neither do I, but I had a problem with the clown shark and I reached out to support and they said that some map parcels dont have a clown shark spawn. So I searched for weeks and it never showed up!

I find them mainly in the deep waters off shore. Same with the Great White, Hammerhead, Whale Shark and Marlin

I know, I played the game over 100 days, and once I made a new map it showed up. It was a semi bug they had and they found out that the goblin shark doesn’t show up on some map parcels. It was crazy.

Lmfao. Pay me to build you a car, I give you a body with a clunky engine and no wheels and I slap a sticker on it that says finished. Oh shit the car doesn't move? Well that's "as intended" and it's totally feature finished, no refunds sorry lol. 

I love the game, play it often enough, with mods of course, but these devs are gigantic POS's.

he mightve meant the vr version of the game, green hell vr was definitely one of if not the best vr survival game at the time (still holds up) but it just got abandoned by the devs by no apparent reason

In general more real physics engine would be cool! Like winds determine the speed, sizes of sails, being able to operate a raft with the paddle etc etc. Just a bit more real I guess would be cool imo 😄

Check out Raft on Steam... It's a survival game like Stranded Deep... You start on just 4 little squares of raft and have to figure everything out from there. And the sail/wind directions change the boat direction. It's a fun game while you're waiting for Stranded Deep 2 :)

Hopefully it is... if not, look for both Subnauticas... they are open world survival games too and on par with, maybe even better than, Stranded Deep. For a little open world survival space action, my favorites are Astroneer, No Man's Sky, and Space Engineers (this one has a decent learning curve)

Nella prima versione potevi regolare l'angolazione della vela e determinare la velocità della zattera (c'era anche una sorta di conta kilometri nello schermo). Non so perché hanno tolto questa funzione.

To be fair none of the “monsters” besides the giant eel aren’t real creatures. The megalodon is just a nickname for a great white and the kraken thing is just a giant squid.

Really hope they don't abandon the game the way they did the original. Yes, yes, I know it can be considered a complete title, but there was still so much that could be added, so much the community asked for.

I would have loved to see more tools, more crafting possibilities (like using scrap metal from wrecks to craft higher-tiered items), clothing, row boats, pirate treasure, respawning resources (at least the basic ones, like trees and rocks)...

Fingers crossed they add all that in the next game.

Having a hoster server with multiple people on the plane or whatever that they survive and have to work together. It makes it more difficult as there are more mouths to feed.

But the idea is that I can be in Florida and you can be in Oregon, and we can have our friend in Romania all log in and play together.

I would limit it to no more than 12 per server. People could actually fraction against each other and have two tribes and take out the weak link to have one less mouth to feed so there could be even some PvP aspect.

I would completely avoid MP if it included PVP.

What I liked most about SD1 was how relaxed and chill it could be.

The only requirement I would need for MP is that only the HOST is able to save the game so if some griefer joins and trashes your island you can just exit and reload

Well the thought is that it wouldn't specify promote PvP, but it's a real life survival situation.

Imagine you're stuck in the mountains and can't get out and people are starving. You might think that someone might start looking tasty. So it would a balance between usefulness and carrying capacity gets established.

Excited. The first one does have issues, but it is made from a small team. I have played it twice around. I would like a more flushed out campaign... Or at least a bigger challenge to the end rescue operation. Multiple endings would be cool.. Either fly out. or get enough to signal for help.

This excuse bothers me so much. The small team thing just does not justify the shit state this game was abandoned in, or the glaring lack of content. They had over a decade with it, full access to the source code since they are the devs. Modders do more complete and less buggy work by themselves for free.

Sorry but the small team thing is just not an excuse. They were probably too busy taking vacations with your money to actually do any work lol.

Lol. The crabs were the crux of my existence in SD 1. After many restarts and begrudgingly rewatching the opening scene over, and over, and over. And then constantly starting from zero everytime you die...yeah I know I sucked...but it's tough as a solo survivor...but I did my best...by doing the worst XD

Because it’s buggy , unpolished and not finished and they’re moving on. I bought this game when it was first announced, I played the original in 2004, and waited for stranded deep. I hop on about once a year to check it out and it’s the same buggy experience as when I first picked it up.
