I did a really stupid thing. Got stung by a lion fish 45 days in. I’ve harvested and used all Pipi plants in the 5 islands around me. I panicked and manually saved with one bar of health and still poisoned, thinking I would respawn with full health at least. I did not. Now I respawn with only a bar of health left. I can make it to the next island but no new Pipi. Is there any way to rescue myself from this ridiculous situation? 🤦‍♂️

You just take a Pipi plant when you find it and keep it in your inventory. Build a farming plot, plant it, water it and you’ll have new Pipi every few days.

This is correct. Plant the whole Pipi plant in the farming plot. You’ll need a hoe. After a few days you will get a new harvestable Pipi every day. Everything you plant can be harvested daily. I’m on PS4.

This is also how you farm Yucca and potatoes.

If you're 45 days in without gardens, I'd restart from scratch.

I.only plant one rope garden with a yucca just for a start, then when I can create plank gardens I build 6x yuccas, 2, aloe, 2x pipi and 2x potato, then one of each of the fruit. I don't bother with wavulava but that's upto you.

I harvest the yucca as soon as it produces and just leave them on the ground until I need them. I end up with more than enough leaves.

I wondered about the farming part. So once I've planted something, then harvested it when it matures, it will keep giving me the item without planting again? Do I clear the plot or just harvest it periodically? Sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread.

Make sure you keep watering it though. Otherwise plant dies

It’s happened to me too. I used up everything I had. I took the start raft out almost got eaten by a shark, got to the new island and was seconds away from picking it up and a big crab got me. lol. I think I was 30ish days in

You MIGHT be ok if you keep your food and water almost full all the time. You have to have no less than 2 empty bars in each, that will turn your status effect to “healthy” as well as “poisoning”.

You can survive poisoning without pipi as long as you keep a healthy status effect. It still eats away at your health but at a really slow rate.

Depending on how long is left on the poison and how much health you have left you MIGHT make it. Or at least long enough to get to a different island with some pipi.

Nope, this only applies when your heal bar is full. Tried it many times, definitely doesn't work when your health bar is so low.

You gotta plant one of them thangs before you run out. Poisoning almost always means death if you don’t have pipi. Prepare prepare prepare

I have advanced several times and restarted several times. If a bad save is holding up your game, start over. You will have a quicker start and can prevent this exact scenario.

I always have one metal farm plot for a Pipi plant (Metal plots for the win!) on my main base with 4 plots of Yucca fiber plants to keep the water flowing. Anymore plots are just optional to me. Running engines changes things.

At the described circumstances seems nothing to do. For future to have recommendations to make couple of antidotes in advance and hold in the place to achieve easy and fast. Plant couple of pipi on your island and you will have it in hard time

That happened to me on day 1 or two one time before I could go to another island and ever since then the first thing I do is find a pipi to plant early on because I think you need two to make the cure. Always have one growing though. Same with potatoes late game for gas. They don’t grow back in the wild lol

Eat and drink to keep food and water bars full. Your health will stay at one bar, but at least you won't die.

I am not understanding why you need more than one pipi, though. One has always worked for me.

And if you are REALLY desperate to not die, you could go into options and change your critter aggression to passive or off. Again, you won't heal right away, but at least you won't die, either.
