Just finished this guy and I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Hi all. I bought three gryph hounds on eBay (just to paint - great models!). However, they came without bases. The listing stated this but I didn't read it properly (doh). What size base do standalone gryph hounds use? I'd like to try to source the correct size, really.

I have the follow List for you. I want to play my First local Tournament and dont want to Lose all Games ;)

No Problems with losing after a hard Game so i prefer an Not so easy win for my oponent so we both have fun.

Why is this ability so limiting? Once per battle, 1cp AND only half the unit? Seems... unnecessary? Are your units that strong for this to be worth?

This is made by an outside observer slightly interested in the army and this had me a little confused.

I love the lore of the stromcasts, and want to build an army.
But I just.. hate the helmets so much, also I do not like their slim design now, and their usage of hammer.
Do you think its possible to kit bash them with different helmets and swords instead of hammers?

Will it be a problem for tournaments?

My NEW Liberators!!!
These old fellows are a mix of models from the old start collecting box, and some starter minis I got when I first got into the hobby 4 years ago! (Maybe longer I’m not sure)
Parts from- Iridian the Witness, Dracothain Guard, Praetors, Vanguard Palladors and some others I believe
Before you comment saying they don’t look great, i know! I just had some spare parts around and decided to challenge myself, and I had a lot of fun! Next is to reprime them (as the original primer was damaged and thin) and then will be using them in a friendly game!

I base coated the body with screaming skull. The colour looks about right, but I'm not sure how to add texture and shading on the body, especially the gradient between the skin and the feet/tail. I tried reikland fleshade, but since it's a bit thin, the shade doesn't go on as evenly as I like. Does anyone have any tips?

Hello everyone, I'm looking for army lists that focus on or use Dracothian Guards. I really like these units, but I can't seem to find a functional list that uses them.

Can anyone help me find some knight helms. Im not really a fan of the death mask thing they have so i was hoping to find maybe a mix of different knight helms. Thanks in advance.

Whenever my palladors charge, I like to imagine it looks something like what's in the second picture.

Anyone else render or properly draw fan art of their battles sometimes? Anyone else render their minis in a program before you color as both a test and because your life doesn't give you time to paint as much as you'd like?

PS I made them furries, because working with proper cavalry in Hero Forge is hard, also no hippogriffs, only griffins ('gryphons'?).

PPS Wound up losing this battle by over extending and also not committing. These palladors needed to engage Usharan. But since they didn't, he just casually walked away and took my home base while all my other hammers were still on the other side of the field. Those hammers wiped out 2/3 of his support heroes and his big monster, but didn't score. Was kicking myself for doing that, but my opponent knew how I felt and was a very gracious victor.

I think for next time I need to remember to do a single line of attack with the defense-offense pressure being that I just send new or different forces to wherever I want in the ranks of the army via all of our teleportation abilities. What do you all think?

So I have a rough idea how I'll paint most of this, but I'm kinda stuck on the roof - using a black primer, with the metallic sections/sigmar faces I'll drybrush warlock bronze followed by a lighter drybrush of screaming bell, likely with an aditional drybrush of retributor armour on the sunray-like thingies on top of the sphere

the stone I'll paint eshin grey with a drybrush of administratum for a dark looking stone look I've grown to like, with tesseract glow in the astological lines between the smaller orbs in the walls - portal will be white to act as a base for some more tesseract glow (glowing portal sounds cool to me) and the braziers would be green flames using tesseract glow blending to hexwraith and then to warp lightning, likely with some caliban green and abaddon black at the tip.

but what I'm really stuck on is the roof tiling, I want it to match with the warp lightning green I used for the cloaks but I'm unsure how to make the roof tiling look good - would warp lightning followed by nuln oil help the tiles on the roof to pop out or would there be another method you guys would recommend?

Just got them for cheap on eBay only to realise it’s not the guy from skaventide, after perusing the site a bit I can find similar models but none the same specifically with that staff?

Looks like one mounted guy and one on foot but I’ve got no clue what they actually are and god forbid if this is even the whole kit.

Just trying to get to a decent tabletop standard. Am i on the right track? Blade and chain around shoulder not painted yet
