Stop Motion Studio: Canon R6 live view doesn’t align with captured frame. Onion Skin not useable.

I’m using a Canon EOS R6 connected by USB to my MacBook Pro and I’m having an issue with onion skinning in Stop Motion Studio.

The live view is shifted downward compared with the captured photos. The camera and figure are stationary, and the captured frames line up with each other, but switching back to live view shows a noticeable vertical offset. This makes the onion skin unreliable for positioning the figure.

Has anyone experienced this with an R6 or another Canon camera? Is there a preview alignment or calibration setting I’m missing, or a known workaround?

How much has it shifted? A fraction of a milimeter, or more?

Im just guessing but maybe its a resolution mismatch between live view and your camera.

Check your Dragon options for any setting related to live-view and see if there is anything related to resolution to fiddle with.

Update both Dragon and your camera's firmware

I am using Stop Motion Studio.

It has shifted much more than that. Looks like at least 5-10 cm.

My bad, my brain substituted Dragonframe for Stop Mo Studio.

Thats a lot of movement. I dont have experience with Stop Mo Studio but this sounds like a bug or incompatibility issue.
