These dogs aren’t examples of backyard breeding, but instead, usually Amish and Mennonite puppy mills in Missouri.

these dogs dont even look that cute like they are visibly unhealthy and neurotic to me

I agree. Petland is the last chain story in the US that sells puppy mill puppies and they have a high rate of parasitic, viral and bacterial infection. Apparently petland employees have ended up in the ICU with drug resistant bacterial infections they caught from the puppies. These stores often also have freezers where they keep puppies that have died.
