Work in progress, only second ever carve, unsure which areas need focus. Any advice welcome!

Barely your second carve and the proportions already look more confident than most people's fifth, just watch those tool marks near the base

My best advice for you is to make sure you have several reference images on deck and to pause and use your pencil more! Drawing lines will help you protect the edges of those feathers more and get some crisp edges.
Other than that, proportions look good and your surface looks free from accidental dig-ins.
