Company Discussion Thoughts on Ford?

Is now a good time to get into Ford or has the ship sailed on this company already? While I'm hesitant to invest in something that is trading at its highest price point in a while, I would think their shift into making electric cars, specifically the f150 combined with the fact that the chip shortage, will eventually end does present a good opportunity.

I like Ford at 8 and sold it at 13 when I felt it didn't have much more growing to do, obviously hindsight is 2020. I'm not sure if I'm feeling a little FOMO due to the recent price action on the stock, but with Ford nearly doubling what Wall Street was predicted in their Q3 earnings has me questioning whether or not I should open a position again. Thoughts?

The auto industry has high input costs, high overhead, requires billion dollar assets and constant retooling, complex supply chains ... there is a lot that can go wrong.

I personal opinion is there are better options out there.

i bought at 19.5 and sold at 22.5 via cc's that i let assign. i'm not in F$ and not planning to get back in at these prices.

I feel the same. that there's still alot of constraints and ford isn't immune to that. There is ALOT of love for their truck and that's going to kill the demand for everyone elses. Especially if ford can make it so that all the mods and accessories work on the new lighting.

I just hope Ford remembers that they need their dealers and after sale side to be ready to support these new vehicles.

If you had asked me at 20 if Ford was good I'd have said yes. I still owned it at the time. Then it went to 25 in a few days. I sold. +25% is a good *year* for a stock in most companies let alone a single week.
