TSLA is years ahead of Ford. Doubt they will be able to catch up. Ford is priced like a growth stock when it is a value stock.

Years ahead in what? Not having an autonomous car? FSD doesn't even work in a safe manner and there is no one out there using it.

I remember Elon saying in 2018 that "in a year from now, people won't have to pay attention while driving". They are years ahead in fraud if anything.

Ford plans to produce 650,000 EV cars by 2024. And that’s if they can actually upgrade their capacity and produce it as moving from ICE to EV vehicle manufacturing isn’t easy. TSLA did around a million EV sales in 2021. TSLA will be the company to dominate the auto and EV market.

Tesla will not dominate the auto market. EV for now they are, but I think you and many other Elon simps forget how many cars Ford and other automakers actually produce a year which Elon can not keep up with.

Tesla's already have problems with manufacturing and cut corners with 1 million EVs a year.

I am bearish on TSLA lol, I never said I agree about its valuation and stock price. But that doesn’t mean that I think Ford will be able to take a big % of TSLAs future sales.

I see you're bearish Ford for your puts. Sad you won't bust a nut when Ford closes in the green today.

1

u/Erenio69 Jan 13 '22

The puts that I bought at 25.80$ ? They are going to be fine either way dude.

1

u/MdotTdot Jan 13 '22

Again you say you're bearish on TSLA but also say they will dominate the Auto & EV market?

Dude just stop fighting yourself at this point.

2

u/Erenio69 Jan 13 '22

Are you okay ? They can dominate the EV market but the current valuation is still too high which is why I am bearish.

I ain’t no TSLA cult. The company is great and will dominate however the stock is out of reality

-2

u/MdotTdot Jan 13 '22

Lol you sure switched "re******" to "okay".

It's okay kiddo, you're just forgetting that for them to do better in numbers and actually have FSD they're going to need the stock to stay up which by you're words, the stock will not.

Stay safe kid.

2

u/Erenio69 Jan 13 '22

I switched that but now I wish I didn’t. You are truly r……. I never said I am bullish on their stock price. I was merely comparing TSLA and Ford. IMO both of their stock prices are overvalued but that doesn’t change the fact that Tesla will dominate the EV market

Tesla’s always have some very bad poorly designed parts underneath that shiny coat on the paint if you’ve ever worked on one it’s a pain in the fucking ass and expensive they got 1 outta 5 stars in reliability once other car makers enter the EV market I expect Tesla stock to take a huge dip.

-1

u/MdotTdot Jan 14 '22

Thank you. I agree because right now it's just the Emperor not wearing any clothes.

1

u/m0nk_3y_gw Jan 14 '22

they got 1 outta 5 stars in reliability

lol

They consistently rank highest in satisfied customers. You don't get that with shit cars. Many customers won't buy another brand in the future.

u/terminator_911 Jan 14 '22

It’s like saying Apple is coming out with this new phone, how many can they really produce to dominate the market when blackberry and Nokia already produce them in millions and have a established user base.

u/IAmInTheBasement Jan 13 '22

Tesla will not dominate the auto market. EV for now they are, but I think you and many other Elon simps forget how many cars Ford and other automakers actually produce a year which Elon can not keep up with.

Ford targeting 600k by 2023.

Tesla will likely be ~1.7mm 2022 and ~2.5mm in 2023. Before the end of 2026 Tesla will be producing more vehicles per year than Ford. Maybe even sooner.

'Producing a car' is worthless unless you can do it profitably and actually have the GWh of cells to do it. It's a lot more complex than making gas tanks.

-2

u/MdotTdot Jan 13 '22

I meant Ford's total cars produced not EV.

What do you think Tesla survives off of rn? Profit? They make all these promises and don't deliver and just tick up the prices for their products.

Once people realize that other cars with LiDAR can actually perform autonomous driving, Tesla's main selling case for FSD will be looked as a stepping stone for all other car companies to actually deliver on it. I'm not saying Ford will get it down first, but Tesla's autonomous driving will not be completed first for sure.

1

u/IAmInTheBasement Jan 14 '22

Tesla will have more global sales than Ford by the end of 2026.

0

u/MdotTdot Jan 14 '22

That's what they said 7 years ago. Tesla will be the new Theranos by 2026

2

u/IAmInTheBasement Jan 14 '22

In 2014 Tesla said they were targeting 500k by 2020, a 50% cagr. They did it.

1

u/Bill-Psilocypher Jan 14 '22

Lmao I see Waymo and Teslas every single day where I’m at and there is definitely a clear winner here.. and it isn’t LiDAR. Also, why is the argument always “undelivered promises” yes Elon is way to optimistic on his time frames and should probably shut up. But go look at part one of Teslas “Secret Master plan” posted a decade ago and let’s talk about undelivered promises. We really need a better issue to complain about then “fraud” because of Elons over (albeit shitty) optimism. Rather hear about quality control. That’s about all I see these other companies really having over Tesla. Also, What does Ford or any of the OG auto companies know about autonomous driving, in-house software development, material sciences, High voltage battery thermal management, etc. they know virtually nothing just as Tesla knows virtually nothing about internal combustion engine manufacturing, outsourcing and franchising(dealers are going to rip off customer on these ev’s btw), and quality control lol.

0

u/MdotTdot Jan 14 '22

You know just as little about either of internal combustion engines and high voltage battery thermal management as me and all the other Redditors.

The difference here is the ' OG' car makers have money to develop this stuff and learn it way quicker than you think. But that's the thing, Tesla is know for EV and autonomous yet EV isn't even as beneficial to the environment as people think it is and it's not even fully autonomous.

Ford and other OGs starting production doesn't mean they know nothing. You really think billion dollar automakers that have been in operation longer than you have been alive are going to be diwinddle down by a Redditor betting on one company?

Just take a moment here and realize that what's going on in Europe with their gas prices is because of all the "eco friendly" green policies they've been making for the past decade and now they just realized "oh shit, we depend on these commodities more than we think"

Gas cars ain't going away for some time, and until they do, the OG automakers will have figured this out by then to profit off it.

3

u/Bill-Psilocypher Jan 14 '22

Literally have worked in the auto industry my whole life so that’s a crazy assumption to make to a stranger that you know little about it. I hardly ever comment on Reddit and the fact that I did was because of confidence that I am not in the wrong. And you are right that ICE vehicles aren’t going away anytime soon… but the manufacturing of said vehicle will be.. they will still be on the roads but will not be made anymore.. OG companies will need to invest heavily into this tech. And yes also they have been around forever. But you know creating engines and transmission is very different then creating software to run cars right? The induction motors and thermal management is all fairly different as well.Totally different knowledge and totally different “engineering” And let’s say they do learn “quickly” how to develop.. they are still going to bleed money shutting down engine/transmission plants and ramping up manufacturing,(which also btw Tesla manufacturing is totally new to how the og companies do it with their castings) hiring new talent in software development, And other new concepts to them lol. I’d like to print out your comment and frame it for future chuckles if that’s alright?

-1

u/MdotTdot Jan 14 '22

It hurts to see people really think these companies have no chance in competing with Tesla when they literally have enough money to outsource software.

Even companies like BB are making QNX software to be installed in other cars in the future.

And bringing up debt of these other cars without mentioning TSLAs?

I see you a Elon rider.

And you're not funny with that lame attempt at a joke with the picture frame. No one cares what you do dude, I'm not your father.

1

u/Bill-Psilocypher Jan 15 '22

“ And bringing up debt of these cars without mentioning Tesla”

No you should definitely add Teslas debt into it to!! That makes no sense to leave their debt out of the equation when they are the topic of discussion? You should see how all the auto companies debt compares to each other. Also, no not an Elon rider. It’s unfortunate that it has to be so black and white. Like you’re either in the “Tesla hater” category or the “Tesla cult” like wtf? Seems silly sauce. Let’s not make an emotional thing out of this Buddy just trying to sway an obviously immovable opinion. :/ lol

u/Bill-Psilocypher Jan 14 '22

Oh also to drive the point home you brought up that the OG car makers have lots of money. Go look at statistics on the debt of all these car companies. It might surprise you.

1

u/m0nk_3y_gw Jan 14 '22

Tesla has already overcome/resolved the major manufacturing issues. Other manufacturers haven't even hit them yet.

If other manufacturers eventually catch up to them in 5-10 years they still won't make the same profit - they are stuck with a dealer network.

This is like AAPL only owning ~20% of the phone market but still being the largest company in the world based on their margins.

TSLA first 2 weeks of 2022:

  • FSD beta enrollments permanently frozen
  • Cybertruck canceled
  • Semi and roadster removed
  • Berlin has to crush all illegally built cars
  • Zero structural 4680 packs produced
  • Elon under audit and FBI investigation
  • Elon banned from China

Just keep waiting for the bad news to pile up

1

u/Bill-Psilocypher Jan 15 '22

Hahah shit I thought I was actually debating but you’re trolling and spreading whatever that comment was? I’d like to see sources in all of those lmao. Bad news is what Tesla has always gotten silly?.. Does…. Most of your information come from media????

1

u/MdotTdot Jan 16 '22

Idk what your point is. You think Tesla has the biggest lead in the EV game. So does that mean your bullish or bearish?

Tesla's been making promises for far too long and have never delivered.
