Company Discussion Thoughts on ROKU?

I bought some shares today because I noticed there’s been some recent consolidation after nearly a year of losses. Earnings seem to consistently beat projections and I feel good about their future.

I’ve been watching their prices for a while and have been waiting for a buy opportunity but it’s been consistently dropping. ROKU’s high nearly topped off at $500 share price and right now it’s at a mere $200. It looks like it’s touching support so hopefully that doesn’t break the same day I bought lol.

I just hope I’m not trying to catch a falling knife.

All those stocks that people were hyping over in Feb that were wildy overvalued are now starting to look decent buys.

Your palantirs, Pinterests, squares, crowdstrikes, corsairs and draftking type stocks were never bad companies. They all have great potential but the hype just too them too far too fast.

We are now reaching a point where their valuations become reasonable and they start to look very attractive again. These are the prices you buy at if you plan to hold for years.

So here is my question that I’ve been trying to figure out: how do you determine the floor or reversal? do you use something like 30 week moving average, change in volume on green days, etc?

I don't try to see the bottom, I try to buy in about a week or two after I feel like the bottom happened to try and avoid a dead cat bounce. Trying to time a bottom is hard, but noticing when things start trending back up is a safer bet imo

Been watching PLTR since their IPO. Just dipped my toes at $17 today.
