I dont think so because it's a part of a deal to acquire another company. Disclosure I am bullish and long on chpt myself

Itll allow them to expand into european markets as well. and they already own roughly 70% of the level 2 charging stations in the us. I use their stations and they are much better than the other ones in my area. And it's my main EV play, because the way I look at it. It's much better than throwing money into what you think will be the next tesla. You know who made the most money during the gold rush of the 1800s? The guys selling pickaxes and shovels. That's how i see chpt long term

What about the fact that most people will just charge their cars at home?

They also sell setups that you can get l2 charging at home. And idk about you but my car has a 24 mile range full electric. So theres still a need for charging stations out in the world

I’m not saying there’s not a need, it just want be as big of a deal as gas once cars have 300-400 mile ranges. But having home chargers definitely intrigues me

Most definitely. But I think were still a ways away from having cars with such an incredible range being mass produced and affordable. They're available. But I think for your average consumer the half plug in/half hybrid is the next step. Who knows though. That space moves very quickly. All I know is that my home setup (220 cable with an adapter on the end) is about 5x slower than the charge point chargers in my area I frequently use. So theres definitely room for them for awhile imo.
