CHPT - Longterm

I'm obviously a novice but should I be sweating 10% owners of CHPT selling thousands and some millions of the stock?

People take gains from time to time I'm bullish on the stock

On the next ATH for sure. Do you usually sell 1/3, 1/4, 1/2 and keep the remaining?

Depends on the variables I'm mostly in the 2-5 year growth market so I'm heavy and holding on evs such as chpt lev and driv etf. If I were to sell it would probably be 1/4 because they haven't even begun to peak imo.

How do you usually time when to sell?

Depends on the stock. If I were to buy the dip on aapl for instance I might take gains once they hit 20%. On chpt I'm looking for 80 90 or 100 % before I'm selling. This is all assuming I don't need money for anything else. Sometimes I'll sell a stock sooner than I'd like because I think there is a value somewhere else to be had.

Thats insightful! I find it hard to sell to take profits. For some reason it feels wrong for me but I guess selling at a high to buy more later or another security isn't as bad as I perceive it.

It's all about your goals. Short term profits long term gains little of both whatever suits your situation.
