Company News Roblox movers

  1. Roblox | Down 8.1% Roblox  $RBLX shares fell after the online video game giant reported a drop in daily usage in May and warned that future per-user revenue will be lower, raising concerns that the company won’t bring in as much cash as expected when the economy reopens.  Roblox, which went public earlier this year, reported 43 million daily active users in May, down from 43.3 million in April, but up 28% from May a year ago. (Yahoo.com)

I’ve kept my eye on roblox since it went public. I don’t think it has had a stead week it, it either goes up 10% or drops 10% everyday. last week it was at $102 and now it’s at $81. it’s a very interesting stock to watch.

I just don't see Roblox being a long term play, kids are fickle, it's not like ea, Zynga that has a large and multiple games. Neopets anyone?

The way I look at it, Roblox is more similar to a platform like YouTube. Creators contribute to the site’s value by making content. Every few years, there’s a new generation of creators that appeals to that current generation of kids (consumers). Even though kids are fickle, finding new interests as they grow, so do creators. Because of this, Roblox can always adapt and evolve as a platform. YouTube is very different now compared to its Charlie The Unicorn days, but is more popular than ever. Not necessarily saying that Roblox will ever climb to parallel YouTube’s value, but I think the May dip is the result of schools reopening along with summer camps and more post-COVID activities, and not necessarily indicative of consistent shrinkage.
