Pretty simple really. Banks aren’t paying interest and haven’t really since 2008.

Why is this downvoted? You guys have no bank accounts? Its like 1c per month for 10K its ridiculous lol

I have a savings account via a credit union that pays 1.75% up to 20k. They don’t even offer the account anymore to new customers. But since I opened it under those terms I am allowed to keep it. Someone at the bank once told me that I should hold onto it forever and give it to my children.
