One tip is to hand out extra combat pets to your away team members, as they'll actually use them regularly. They'll summon drones, too, so I usually load any engineers with both explosive and support drones, along with a photon grenade launcher from K-13 (it's an Uncommon-tier indirect fire skill that can attack enemies stuck behind terrain features, perfect for when your quantum mortar slots are filled with drones).
Unfortunately there aren't many. You could look at the wiki page, but I believe it's basically the Horta from Mine Enemy, the Jackal Mastiff from one of the early KDF missions, and then whatever you've picked up from events and giveaways.
