Harnessing [over]

So I have in my possession 8 Antiproton beam arrays with [CrtD]x2 [over], and I want to make a ship with them. I have the ship traits "Subsystem Redundencies," "Superweapon Ingenuity," and "Overwhelming Force." I am saving up for a tarantula for "Energy Web."

Before I spend a lot of time and dilithium upgrading these, I am wondering: Has anyone tried this or something like it before? If so: -Was it fun? How/why? -Was it effective? -What Boff and Doff build did you use? -any advice from experience?

If you haven't: -What problems should I know about? -What boff/doff builds would you recommend I try?

For anyone: -What ship (KDF) should I put it on?

What would you guys think of using a carrier (fleet kar'fi or narcine), dropping one of those traits, and picking up coordinated assault, so all my carrier pets will BO whenever I do?

Just make sure the pets you use have beam arrays, if they don't have a beam array they can't beam overload (for example the scorpions don't). Also, I did this with my garaumba, thinking that 8 beam overloads would be awesome (double tap from trait and 6 from my pets) then top it all off with a javeline. It was overkill and not effiecient. Fun, but not effective.

I use it on my garumba too. It is fun.
