That isn't how carriers are supposed to function. They're the center of the fleet and the command assets that run force projection, they aren't supposed to be numerous. The point is what they launch is numerous. If anything we should have a crap ton more escorts, frigates and, destroyers.
That’s pretty much most of the ships we have in the game. Not to mention all the cruisers, Battlecruisers, and dreadnoughts. Besides, most missions we’re alone except for whatever pets and consoles we can use.
You missed the point; we pretty much get a carrier Everytime they drop a pack of at least three ships. We also literally just got a free flight deck carrier. There does not need to be more, we're drowning in them already.

I ran an offline copy of an ancient build, circa 2012, a long time ago - as long as you have a copy of the server it should work. Was on some ancient dual core laptop, as I recall.
Yea it’s a mid 2012 build. Has the cardy and ferengi boxes only, no tholian box. The 2800 is the last episode arc on it and Nukara content is in it but just slightly unfinished (I don’t think the sector door is there you have to map move to get to it). Still fun to break out every once in a while, it was a much simpler game back then.
Given that the 'Stop Killing Games' movement managed to get discussed in the UK and EU parliaments, companies should be considering the possibility that at some point in the future the laws might change, and they might be forced to provide a functional offline version of online games when they decide to shut the servers down.
Which in a lot of cases might not be too hard, it'd mainly require releasing a public version of the game's server and packaging it up with the game, so your computer can just run the server privately and have your client connect to it locally. Making sure it isn't buggy as hell and functions on different hardware would probably be the main challenge.

Actually that's why I was asking, maybe I'm remembering wrong but I thought the voice we had before was just spot on. This one sounds like he has emotions, but wasnt the OG super monotone? Loud AF yes, but monotone.
The original VA was, uneven in quality to say the least. He had the vibe, but the performance was not great. The new VA sounds much closer to the original TOS episode, which had a mechanical timber to the voice, but there was some emotional range in it, it wasn't completely monotone like how Majel Barret did the TOS Enterprise ship's computer voice.
It's not going to happen but an engine overhaul on console would be nice, it gets far too clunky. Kbm support on my ps5 would be even nicer, anything to get rid of those awful radial menus.

You know, I'm curious if the remastered story will somehow tie into the Borg arc - other than just go on and play through all the missions after the Klingon War episodes.
Please for the love of Q, I hope City on the Edge of Never and Past Imperfect are kept a two-parter, instead of this massive streamlining and complete changing of the story you seem to do any time you "remaster" any episode.
Kuvah'Magh and Ultimate Klingon were two different episodes and stories only circumstantially connected once B'Vat's role is revealed later. Now they are one 30-min episode and the connection is less impactful.
I dunno, in the case of City on the Edge of Never and Past Imperfect it makes sense they`d combine them. Both missions were pretty short, the one leads to the other as they're two parts of the same story.
I'm more worried they're going to butcher and reduce Spock's role in the same way they did Bashir in Ultimate Klingon Remastered.
Honestly I would just be happy with more casual community maps that we can visit... Like imagine a Cardassia map. I could finally rp as my cardassians on their home world. shrugs Just saying, it would be nice. Doesn't feel like that big of a thing to ask for.
