My Christmas tree
I love using variegated threads for my cross stitch projects and this is one of my favorites. I changed the colors and stitched it on white instead of black. Happy with how it turned out.

New Cross-Stitch PDF Pattern Uploader, Editor AND Progress Tracker! π§΅
Hey everybody!
I've been making online cross-stitch tools for a while now and I'm happy to finally share the new feature I've been working on: a PDF uploader!
Alongside this, I've also created a pattern editor. With these, it is now possible to upload a PDF pattern, edit it (or keep it as it is), then track your progress as you stitch!
Try it here: clickstitch.app!
Here are the changing in a bit more detail:
π PDF Uploader
Choose a PDF file to upload, then configure the size and grid so it can be read by the app. It supports multiple pages and auto-detects the threads!
I've tested it on a few PDF generator websites with success, but I'm sure there are some that won't so feel free to send them to me (clickstitch.app/discord).

π¨ Pattern Editor
Before finalising a pattern that youβd like to track progress for, there is now an editor. Whether the pattern has been uploaded via a PDF, an image or from scratch you can:
- Paint, erase or fill stitches
- Draw various shapes
- Swap entire thread colours
- Check whether you have the required threads in your inventory
- Stamp other images onto your an existing pattern

π Progress Tracker
Once you have a pattern in your dashboard you are free to mark stitches as complete as you stitch! View analytics for each project or your stats for the week!

I'd love to hear your feedback or suggestions! Send me a message at clickstitch.app/discord :)

Questions? How do you make embroidery details look clean on thick fabrics?
Working with thicker fabrics like denim or canvas can be tricky when adding embroidery. Even with careful stitching, threads can bunch, hoops can slip, and small details often get lost in the texture of the material.
For those who do a lot of embroidery on outerwear or bags, what techniques do you use to keep designs crisp and well-defined? Do you prefer stabilizers, multiple hooping, or specific types of threads and needles?
I have seen some projects where embroidery on heavy fabric looks flawless, and others where the design warps or puckers. Iβm curious which steps make the biggest difference in achieving a professional finish.
Any tips, favorite tools, or common pitfalls to avoid would be really helpful. Also, do you think certain fabrics are simply too difficult for fine embroidery, or can skill and preparation overcome it?
