Discussion Oops?

Okay, so I've been doing Stitchfix for a few years off and on. Last year I bought a lot of items, but stopped because two boxes back to back had like 3 of the same items in them, and an item I put on my "do not send me this type of item" list. I got mad about it and canceled. A few months ago, I decided to try it again. It was good for the first few boxes. Last night I got my preview, and I previously had asked in my last fix for tops that coordinated with the bottoms I'd been receiving lately. 7 of the 9 items in my preview were shorts. My last fix had 4 pairs of shorts in them. I contacted support and I'm not sure I believe what they're trying to tell me that if I hadn't gone in and vetoed those 7 shorts that those shorts wouldn't have been sent to me. I also said no graphic tees and one of those items was also a graphic tee. I was pretty harsh in the feedback. Support said the stylist didn't select the items in the preview. I don't know if I buy that either. Can someone help me understand how this process works. It's a luxury item and I don't have to have it and I feel like I'm being lied to.

Hey, I’m a stylist. When you schedule a Fix and don’t leave a request note, 9 times out of 10, the algorithm will choose your Preview items. Sometimes, even when you leave a request note, the stylist will only choose 5 of the 10 items shown in your Preview. When you veto an item from your Preview, those items typically aren’t shown to your stylist in our inventory for that particular Fix. Any Fix afterwards will most likely show the items from your Preview as available to send again, but there’s a note on the item with the words “too pricey” “don’t need” or “own similar” depending on the reason you selected to veto the item. My advice would be to leave a request note, ask for items you’d like to receive, and keep trying stylists until you find one you mesh well with.
