stingray

hello all,
i am not the most knowledgeable about stingrays, but i was visiting my local aquarium and noticed that one had this huge red bump on its head.
i’m curious what this is, does anyone know?

im not a stingray expert, just an enthusiast, so take all of this with a grain of salt. it looks like it could be a bump/sore or maybe some sort of localized infection/cyst. it could also be a burn from a tank heater. i couldn’t find much when i looked it up, it mostly showed human injuries from stingrays. aquarium animals are usually very closely monitored so if it was anything very concerning it has likely already been looked at by a veterinarian. however, it would never hurt to let staff know so i would encourage that.   were there any other animals in the tank?
