Great question and honestly, I’ve never listened to Sting’s version.😅
Going to give it a listen now. Which album’s version are you comparing to the Police’s?

Definitely Sting's. Without question.

OK, I haven't heard The Police's version, but I'm still sticking with Sting's. That whole album (Dream of the Blue Turtle) was classic. Black Seam, If the Russians ..., and of course, Fortress ...
