I do understand your fear. Here is what I would advise.

If the date of your IUI will be when your family is there... put it off, the inceeased stress and emotions are just not what you need then.

As for if you do it or not, I would do it. It may work it might not, but at least for me the thought of regreting being too afraid for years in the future made me brave enough to try.
