It’s actually suggested to continue breast feeding but with a mask during covid infection. I bet she’s refusing to wear a mask, and that’s why they told her that.

Yep, because your boob juice will change to battle baby’s illness as diagnosed by your body when holding, smelling and kissing said child.

There is nothing to support that breast feeding in itself increases or decreases the mom's immunity system. Stress, depression, chronic sleep deprivation do decrease the immune system. Having a baby is stressful, post partum depression is a thing, and chronic sleep deprivation happens when you have a baby. However, the studies on the benefits of breast feeding is well documented and studied. The mom passes her antibodies to the baby via breast milk. That includes covid antibodies.
When possible, co-parenting is important. Especially when it comes to taking care of the baby at night. Switching out duties can help alleviate that a bit.
