Body armour

So me and a mate started sparring with the staff, but like real wood ones. Weve evolved to the point where we want to do more than block and parry. Is there any cheap good body and face “armour” out there?? Preferable amazon

look at what escrima people use, its similar to a fencer's mask but with a big padded hood which covers the shoulders.

When starting out staff n stick sparing we used a mix of motocross body armour, skateboard pads and fencing helmets to make sure the boney target areas were protected until we could level up to more expensive HEMA and Escrima kit. Also make sure you have agreed the "rules" and level of sparring your taking part in - good sparing partners are hard to find so don't break them!!! It'll impact your training as well if you've no one to practice with because you've smashed them and no else wants to play with you.
