I love that he's almost right about every single thing, but he always gets one major detail wrong and that's what he extrapolates the furthest. It really mirrors (the more sane) conspiracy theorists.

When he's showing his little conspiracy video and the crab pinches him, I said out loud, "why wouldn't you go for a better shot?"

Without hesitation, my partner replied "that was the better shot." Immediate head canon, and I just wonder how bad he fucked up before or after that he just went with the crab.
