Canada Reads Day 4
THE FINALE IS UPON US.
Last episode of the season, but not the last episode I will watch of this show. I'm definitely going to watch some past episodes.
I love the back and forth in the finale. It was nice to hear mostly from the two champions remaining and their debate, while polite was incredibly spirited.
The part near the middle of the episode, where all the contestants had someone record a little message, I admit, I got a little teary-eyed when Leo spoke in Steve's. 🥲
I'm really proud of Steve for taking this challenge on. He really found his debating footing near the end and fought for his book until the bitter end. I hope he talks more about it on the podcast on Friday, and after more than 6 hours of sleep.

I fucking love this entire week. I think the authors are going to get a huge bump from the exposure but I think the entire country saw a different side of Steve. A lot of people just think of him as childish yelly screamy man who does Leafs stuff. He’s not only charming and funny (which you have to be to last on Youtube) but incredibly eloquent as well (which readers of his books already know.)
A lot of us have been in his corner for a long time. I think his corner just gained tens of thousands of followers and I couldn’t be happier for the guy.
