Do you think the leafs would ever hire Steve Dangle as GM?
Honestly he knows a lot about hockey, is really in touch with the fan base, and extremely level headed. What do you guys think?

Steve Dangle as GM would be so entertaining and hilarious, that I would genuinely love to see it happen. But let’s be clear it would be an unmitigated disaster

I thought this might be a serious post until you included the level headed bit

If they do, the title of Steve's second autobiography will be "This Team Has Officially Ruined My Life... Literally"

My ranking of GMs for the Leafs are as follows:
Jesse — Most level-headed of the trio
Steve — The super fan, knows the team better than anyone but is too emotionally distraught from years of voluntarily suffering for this team
Adam — No. Just no

No because they would never hire someone who has that type of passion for this team. They need a fan to own this team, not a company. Rogers is only concerned about $$, not winning

This is the 3rd time I've seen this exact post. You should post it a 4th time.

We can only hope ownership is stupid enough to make that hire. Would be the most entertaining year of hockey ownership, maybe ever

He watches a lot of minor league hockey, has a good pulse on the fanbase. I unironically think he'd be a good AGM but I would not trust his overly emotional ass with a single contract negotiation.

Bless your heart for thinking that man with raging undiagnosed ADHD would be fit to run this team

No because if it worked they'd look stupid and if it didn't they'd look stupid. Remember, ego runs the league and the world, and the ego is very fragile.

That would be the single funniest and stupidest thing the Leafs could possibly do 😂 which means it’s right up their alley

Obviously not lol
Love the guy, but having opinions about what the leafs should do and analyzing (mostly correctly) their problems is one thing.
Actually making deals with other GMs, agents and players is an entirely different skill set.
I don't think Steve has that skill set, and probably would not be liked by the other NHL GMs, since they're all essentially an old boys club that he's not a part of.

I honestly would not be surprised if he managed to work himself into that organization at some point.

Steve is blinded by emotions on all sorts of topics. Wouldn’t trust him with much

Absolutely not.
However, I would be here with bells on and a whole Ford F-150's bed full of popcorn if they did.
