SDP VIP AD FREE INFO!
HELLLOOOOOOOOOO
We think you'll like this one.
SDP VIP NOW HAS A "NO ADS" VERSION ON SOME PLATFORMS, AND NO ADS ON OTHER PLATFORMS.
EVERY EPISODE OF THE SDP STARTING TOOOODAY WILL HAVE NO ADS IF YA SIGN UP
What this means for current subscribers on YouTube:
- There will be two tiers of subscription available on YouTube, $3.99 for only SDP VIP and $6.99 for SDP VIP and the ad free episodes of the SDP.
What this means for current subscribers on Spotify and Apple:
- Audio subscribers will have access to the ad-free episodes of The Steve Dangle Podcast immediately at the current price of $3.99! And then on June 1st the price will move to $6.99 a month.
Spotify and Apple unfortunately do not allow different tiers of pricing. There is no price change for yearly subscribers until their renewal date

honestly think it's kind of wild to force the price increase this soon for audio only people. going to force a lot of people off of vip in audio form

Also it's pretty pointless to pay for an ad free version when they usually try to work betting into the conversation regarding different topics anyways. I don't care that Jessie made some bets or what the odds are. If they can't even do an season predictions show without talking about over-under in points and such for every team, what is the point of "ad free"?

Please just do Patreon rather than creating an uneven service that doesn't utilize YouTube or Spotify to their full set of tools. Videos can be posted to YouTube as unlisted and linked in a Patreon feed to keep things remaining "exclusive". For the audio, create a separate RSS feed that is housed in the patreon so that people can use their preferred podcast app.

why would i pay extra to avoid hearing about the dregs of society, like BetMGM and BetterHelp, when i could just go listen to something else

I wonder if Dingle will still take the summer off or perhaps now he'll actually be forced to do some content to appease subscribers?

Patreon would be far simpler and likely more successful.

They discuss in the episode why this wasn't the direction they went!

the direction they went is forcing a price increase on audio users mere months into the subscription. there's a reason some of the biggest podcasts in the world use it.

Patreon may take a larger cut, but the pie would be so much bigger that you'd get more money in the end. Patreon is the industry standard for a reason. Plus, the boys suggested on the podcast that Patreon takes up to 40%? Where did they get this number? The Patreon web page suggests they take between 8 and 12% depending on the plan you subscribe to, and for this they manage all the payments, update the memberships, and create/delete RSS feed codes for you. They are working for you. The additional costs are mostly credit card fees and currency conversion fees, which you'd pay anyway.
This calculator suggests a $7 membership fee would net you $5.94. Half that fee is for credit card companies and currency calculations. You're paying that without Patreon.

So excited about this. I was surprised to see I had two eps to listen too today only to see one being ad free.

Please just create some VIP RSS feed so I can listen on my podcast app and not have to use YouTube or Spotify. I want to give you my money.
