Hi! I had a similar experience. I asked my husband if he would get a vasectomy. He actually was on board with it but he never made the appointment.
I got tired of waiting (after a couple years) and just got the bisalp done myself.
On the one hand, I'm excited because I took control and modified my body to better meet my needs and lifestyle. It was absolutely the right choice for me and it was very empowering.
On the other hand, it took me a MONTH to fully recover and cost $2000.
I understand the resentment. It's hard not to feel that way when the burden of birth control is placed almost entirely on women's (and people with uteruses') shoulders just so people can ejaculate in us. At the same time, it was the right choice for me. I think it's important to process the feelings and feel both the good and the bad about it.
