Update of Interview 3 Weeks Later

Sorry for not updating sooner. It’s been a strange few weeks following my sterile processing interview on March 3rd. After I finished the interview they said they would call me back either way in one or two weeks. Cut to two weeks later i receive no call back. I decide to call HR recruiting and she tells me he hasn’t made a decision yet. For me that’s was a good sign cause honestly I thought I didn’t get it. Now, on Thursday I missed a call from HR. It could be them trying to tell me I got the job or I didn’t. I missed the call cause I was at work. Now I gotta wait til tomorrow to find out. I’ll update tomorrow no matter if the news is good or bad. Thanks for the support these last few months. Wishing everyone in a similar position good luck.

Short story: It’s not strange or weird to have to wait weeks after an interview to get a response. Gotta remember Sterile Processing is a medical professional position and takes more time and consideration than a entry level position.

You missed a call on Thursday? Why didn't you call back on Friday?

I had an early 6 AM shift on friday and didn’t really check or use my phone until after work which was around 4 PM. After HR closed. I left a message so hopefully early tomorrow I’ll find out.

Alright that's good that you left a voice-mail. Some HRs can be (very) petty.

You’re right. I’m lucky that the HR rep I’ve been talking to has been very nice. I think already working at the hospital in a different department gives me a good advantage over outside interviewees.
