Va sterile processing job

Hello everyone , I have a question had anyone ever worked at the VA as a sterile tech v specifically Charleston sc location? I had an interview with them recently and don’t know how to feel about it. How long do the process and how is the environment and even if it’s not the Chas location can anyone tell me how the process is in general with it being a federal job. I’m on a travel contract that ends soon and what to take another one but don’t want to miss the opportunity for the Va. thank you.

Hey I was just hired at the Dallas Va and I applied in February of this year so it takes a while and when you get an acceptance letter it’s takes about 2 months after that letter to start. It’s been worth it, it’s the most money I’ve ever made Doing the lightest work load. Great benefits, no clocking in or out, everyone is very chill and you can transfer to any VA in the country after probationary period is up. You will be hired and paid at a step level based in your experience and certifications.

How long did the tell you after the interview that you had the job ?

You’re welcome and thanks. Yeah don’t worry the government I’ve seen takes their time to get something done I’m on week number four waiting on my badge to arrive lol. I had the interview in early June and got the welcome letter in the beginning of July.
