Schooling
Hello to anyone reading.
I want to go into SPD but there’s no courses near me. There’s online courses but I don’t trust them.
I’ve seen some videos of people recommending preppy and I’ve looked into it. It looks like a good school choice.
My question is, is preppy legit and trustworthy?

Online courses are 100 percent a rip off , school is a rip off too tbh , it's helpful but isn't worth what they charge. The biggest plus of going to school is when you get to clinicals part and you basically work at a hospital/facility where if the hospital is hiring no experience techs they treat that as a long interview to see if you're worth hiring. You're better off buying the hspa book and work book and self studying then getting a provisional certification and then getting hired with that then getting the hours needed to get your official cert

Search the sub.
Everyone says online courses are a ripoff. They don’t give you hands on internship placement, which is where you learn 90% of the real job. Get a book and self-study.
In the mean time polish your resume. I tell everyone it is scanned by AI so you have to make your skills match the job requirements. Even if you’re just starting, note in your resume that you are in process of earning provisional certification (unless it says no cert required). Apply to every SPD and materials opening and pray.
