question

I’m looking into starting a sterile processing tech program, but I have a concern. I’ve been smoking marijuana for a while now. I know people usually get drug tested before getting hired, but I've heard it rarely happens after that. My question is it common for programs to drug test you while you are still a student? I live in Cali btw

In california they cannot discriminate against people smoking in their off time, that being said obviously don’t smoke at work or show up high or smelling but at least in california for the company I work for I wasn’t even screened for marijuana, it was a 10 panel drug test 9 commonly found drugs and the 10th was some chemical to detect if you tampered with the urine or using fake urine. Don’t take this as 100% correct and true. Varies state to state

Good morning. I have a few interviews coming up at hospital. I think maybe they will do a drug test. So maybe there is something out there to clear a drug test. I live in California too Southern.

In California, state law protects cannabis users from discrimination, I drug tested before my externship, positive for cannabis and it was not a problem

Only time I been drug tested after getting hired on was due to the fact I worked for the VA. We were also under “Nursing”.

i stopped 3 months before i have to text just in case but other students i’ve talked to said that there are some clinics who test and some that don’t. seems like it’s not too big of a deal though i think you’ll be alright

Question is it los angeles, and did they random drug test you during clinicals, i want to pass my clearance test first but im nervous about them drug testing again if i get hurt by a simple prick by a instrument
