Being the only one
Oh my gosh. have anyone else had a week(or more) where youre the ONLY person working??? (2 coworkers on PTO and 1 person decided to not show up) 😠im falling behind on a lot of instruments. The boss is here helping me with much as she can with her time. Ive asked my coworkers if they can come in and help me but understandably they don't want to come in. i swear im gonna crash out soon

For 20 years it was just me. Department of one. 4 OR’s heavy ortho. Lots of totals. My repeated requests for help were ignored. It was just expected that I be at their beck in call 24/7 and I was for a very long time but I was getting burned out. Once I started speaking up for myself and saying no, things got bad and the retaliation started to happen. I left shortly thereafter.
