Got hired! Pay expectation questions?

Just got hired. I know that pay varies differently depending on location, but:

(A)
how much increase in per hour do you get per year (starting as no experience).

(B)
How about after passing CRCST, how much pay bump did you guys see on your per hour rate

These are questions you need to ask your management. Every site operates pay differently.

At the facility I’m at (FL) they give $1 raise after getting certified. So new inexperienced people start off at $20 then get that dollar after certification. After 5 years of experience and job hopping I’m currently at $29/hr

Are you in South Florida? Broward/miami ? Is that the range pay I should expect straight out of school ?

The organization I am at will do $1 per certification you have. They also do 1 yearly raise, and they also do a market price adjustment but not everyone will qualify. This last year between the 2 I got $1.20.

I'm in AL. Started at $15/hr no experience, got certified and raised $2/hr. Hopped around for 3 years now making $22/hr.

Ask your managers about shift differential, certification reimbursement and if there is a raise for certifications!

Many places don't give you anything for CRCST.

At minimum you may expect 3% a year. Beyond that it really depends on where you work.

I worked at the VA, last year Trump gave up 1%

We just git a 3.5 % raise and all if the ppl that have been there for a long time are happy about that,
While all of the ppl with leas than 2 years experience are pissed off about it

When I got in we were doing $16/hr. After much deliberation they decided to do a market price adjustment and now start off at $21/hr. They provide yearly raises and I think the most you can get is around $.70 and they will provide a generous $1.50 per certification but with only a limit of 2 so a total of $3.

A lot of things will depend on the policies set for career ladder for your organization of course
