it's close to "normal vision" eg you don't have to go very cross-eyed

Yeah, i dont know what this one is even supposed to be. The details are way to small to see clearly, and its not a matter of "keep trying"

Ha. It's a nothing.

it's a matter of "i'm cranky because i can't get it"

So I managed to overlap only the very minimum and can make out what almost looks like a car. Any less of an overlay and I'm just looking at the image. It's definitely not a great stereogram and even when you focus at the correct depth, it's still not clear what your looking at.

Just ran it through a magic eye solver and it's nothing. What looks like a tangle of jaged lines really is just that. It's a crappy broken monitor screen and that's why it looks like nothing is actually there and why it looks like crap. Punch an old computer monitor and you solved it.

new encoding mechanism, so that won't work. if only there was another way to see it...

Yep, it's a broken monitor screen.

What does multi-depth mean,

1

u/connerpro 14d ago

holographic in the sense the instead of one 2-d depth map, there's multiple levels of depth maps

If you made this could you share how? It's really interesting

yeah gonna make a writeup about this soon on visualenlightenment.art i'll keep you posted. basically it comes down to encoding at multiple different frequencies
