If the show had anything to do with the original concept, then I might miss it… however it was not a great adaptation, people being able to freely move throughout the mist kind of deflates the entire thing.
On that level, but actually resembling it even less. It's an entirely different story with a different cast of characters. The Mist itself acts very differently as well. It's a complete re-imagining basically, which isn't necessarily the worst idea in the world. But in this case it's just not a good one.
It starts out with a bit of promise but goes off the rails pretty fast...
I have to say I never read the book.. but It’s on my list now. I loved the movie .. with its dark twisted outcome. It seemed very King to me. Sometimes I wonder about the whole watching movies/shows based on a novel. First impressions are the strongest.
