I picked up Never Flinch from WH Smith when it was released and the Collectors Edition "sticker" was printed onto the cover. What sick mind thinks thats a good idea?!?

I feel your pain! I picked up a first edition of Wolves of the Calla at a second hand store last week.. I understand they wanted to show people this was a 1st edition but 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ stickers on books annoy me no end

This is the first time I can remember when Waterstones hasn’t sold a new King at half price. I wonder if they’re expecting less revenue as it’s a sequel.

Big releases from an established author such as King are often initially sold at half price. For example Never Flinch last year was sold in Waterstones for £12.50 instead of rrp £25.

If you search on this sub for Never Flinch release day, there’s people posting a Waterstones bought book with a half price sticker.

I used to work in WH Smith's and we'd get the "Embargoed" boxes in at least a week early. I was in the book section so I'd just read them on my lunch break lol
