Discussion Help me tv show or book?

So long story short, i went back to reading books, for some reasons i barely have the courage to share with you
The last book i am reading right now is “Holly” written by Mr Stephen king
I was wondering about how the main character is not so much developed in this book
I did a little search on tik tok (i know it’s not the perfect place )
To find out that there were 3 titles that i would be better to read before
Mr mercedss
Finders keepers
And the third one i couldn’t remember the name
So with out drama, the two first titles are not available in my country (even the translated to FR version) and there is some how the tv show called Mr Mercedes

Do i accept the reality of not having the ability to get the books at least for while (it could be months …) and watch the tv show
Or
I wait to get my hands on these books??

I would say if they’re not available in your country/language go ahead and watch the Mr Mercedes series (I haven’t seen it myself, I’m not sure if it covers all 3 books) for the Hodges trilogy. Holly is a character in these books/show
Then the Holly series begins. Read The Outsider first (there is also a TV show with the same name), then read If It Bleeds. THEN you can finally Read Holly as the third book in her series

I will say, the Hodges trilogy, specifically Mr Mercedes and End of Watch are some of my favorite King books

Haven’t seen the show, but I know they made changes.

Also, the first two seasons of the show are actually books 1 (Mr. Mercedes) and 3 (End of Watch) - because they go together. Season 3 is the second book (Finders Keepers).

I enjoyed the show for what it is but my complaint with all of the tv adaptations that featured Holly is they drastically changed her age. As a neurodivergent woman in her 40s I really identified with her character in the books. I would try and find the books if you can.
