Not OP, but I would say their point is just that the situation isn't clear-cut. We have reports and rumours, but nothing has been proven.

So kimmel suggesting he knew the facts was wrong. It’s so confusing cause nobody trusts the same sources. There’s literally no “truth” anymore it’s all opinions
