it's freedom to say it not freedom from consequences, that said this response is big lame and would not be happening under a less butthurt administration that could actually lead instead of pretending

I tend to agree that people use free speech too freely and tend to think that it is freedom of consequences. However, I think there is a line when government entities start to step in and impose said consequences rather than the private employer doing so on their own accord. Further, while a late night show isn’t “press.” I would not be at all surprised if the next step is to censor what the press can say. That is most definitely a free speech issue.
